#2 – Ride the Train with Santa
Start a new holiday tradition when you climb aboard The Santa Express. It’s a fun-filled holiday ride where you’ll sing Christmas carols, hear the classic story ’Twas the Night Before Christmas and interact with fun-loving Christmas characters, including Santa himself! Or, hop the Night Train to the festively decorated workshop at Santa’s Pavilion.
#3 – Shop on Blue Friday
Enjoy a more relaxed version of Black Friday while you support local shops and small businesses. It’s small-town Christmas shopping at its best in quaint, historic Downtown Blue Ridge. Stores and restaurants are open early and close late — with plenty of discounts and specials.
#4 Light Up Blue Ridge
Watch Santa arrive on an old-fashioned firetruck, then board his “sleigh” for the parade before he settles in at the gazebo to hear all of those Christmas wishes from the kids. Entertainment continues all day through the tree lighting ceremony at 7:00 p.m. A variety of of vendors will have goodies to enjoy.
#5 – Chill Out at Fire & Ice
Taste test your way through gallons of incredible chili as local and regional chefs compete for the title of best chili maker. As you stroll the event, enjoy the amazing ice sculptures commissioned by local businesses. Ice carving demonstrations and live music add to the fun, so make plans for President’s Day weekend in Blue Ridge.
